Will the AV30 accept signals from older Garmin GPS 150XL via the serial port?

I presumed it will accept signals from a GPS 150XL and indeed it will. I just confirmed with Uavionix. Here's what they said:

Yes, it can connect to a Garmin GPS 150XL. http://www.albatroszre.hu/downloads/...k%C3%B6nyv.pdf
You can see on page 16 that it can be set to Aviation. This setting will display on the AV-30 when the AV-30 is set to AV1 9600.

Thanks for the info. My AV30 should arrive soon. I will try to connect to my Garmin 150XL through the serial port with both units.
